One of the highlights of a Massachusetts vacation is to go on a Cape Anne whale watch.
In fact, I just returned from one a couple of days ago. As usual, I went on the 7 Seas Whale Watch in Gloucester, Mass. The naturalist on board began the trip with an eloquent educational talk about the whales and other marine life that would be seen on the trip. Then it was a two hour trip traveling about 10 miles out to sea. On the way, we spotted a few minke whales. Then we came to an area where a couple of humpback and finback whales were feeding and diving. We were able to see how whales behave in their domain. It is a sight to behold and an experience you will never forget.
Now, if it is an orca whale watch that you are looking for, then you will have to go to the Pacific coast, along the San Juan Islands.
